Birkrigg
Birkrigg is a house in Windermere, about halfway between Bowness and Windermere village. You can walk to both easily.
It sleeps eight. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom and a toilet are on the ground floor, which is useful. The other three bedrooms and the main bathroom are upstairs. One of the rooms has bunk beds, good for kids.
The main living space is open plan. Kitchen, dining, and sitting area all together. There's a wood burner for colder evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Outside, there's a patio with a barbecue and a bit of garden. You can park on site, and there's an electric vehicle charger.
You can bring one dog.
For things to do, Bowness is where you get the boats on Lake Windermere. Windermere village has shops and a train station. The walking is all around you. You're right in the Lake District National Park. For a longer drive, you can get to Keswick, Coniston, or Grasmere within about half an hour.
