Slate Cottage
Slate Cottage is in Windermere village. It's a terraced house, so you've got neighbours on one side. The front door is right on the pavement.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs are fairly steep.
It's very central. The local pub is next door, about ten yards away. There's a shop about a hundred yards down the road. The whole village centre, with cafes and restaurants, is a short walk.
You get a permit for one car. Parking is on the street nearby. The back has a small, decked patio with a table and chairs. It's enclosed.
The living area is all open-plan. There's a wood burner for colder nights. The shower room is downstairs.
The front door and living area are all on the level, so it's suitable for wheelchair access to that point. The bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs.
You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. A travel cot and highchair are there if you need them.
For getting out, everything in the Lakes is close. You can walk down to Bowness-on-Windermere and the lake in about twenty minutes. Good walks start from the door. For longer trips, Ambleside, Grasmere, and Keswick are all within a half hour drive.
