This is Melody. It's a first floor flat in Bowness on Windermere.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and modern but nothing too fancy. You can park on site.
The location is the main thing. It's right in Bowness, so you're a very short walk from the lakefront and all the shops and cafes. It's an apartment, so you don't have a garden, but you've got the whole lake on your doorstep.
The flat has wifi, a TV, and includes all bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
From here, you can just walk down to the piers and get a boat. You can cruise over to Ambleside or down to Lakeside. If you've got your own paddleboard or kayak, you can carry it down to the water. Bowness itself has Beatrix Potter World and the old Royalty cinema.
For a good first walk, Orrest Head is in Windermere town. It's not too long a climb and the view from the top is the classic one over the lake.
By car, you're well placed. Grasmere village, where they make the gingerbread, is about a 20 minute drive. The main fells like Helvellyn or the Langdales are within half an hour.
