Juniper
Juniper is an apartment, not a whole cottage. It’s on Hawkshead Hill. You get a good view of the fells.
It’s a one-bedroom place for two people. The bed is a super kingsize, it’s right there in the open plan room. There’s a small kitchen area to make meals. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. Everything is on one level with no steps, and there are grab rails in the bathroom. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped.
Outside your door there’s a decked area. It catches the sun in the afternoon. The apartment is part of Yewfield, which is an 80-acre estate with woodland walks. You can walk down to Hawkshead village from here, or up to Tarn Hows.
Coniston Water is about three miles away. Windermere is about the same. For walking, Grizedale Forest is right there. You’re well placed for the south lakes.
The estate itself has a vegetarian restaurant and a guesthouse. If you’re coming with more people, there are other similar apartments here that you can book together.
Facilities: there’s parking right outside, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included.
