The Coach House is in Grasmere, about a mile and a half from the village centre. It's a bungalow, so all on one level. That's handy for some people.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms and has two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a nice, spacious place. The main living area is open plan, with big French doors looking out onto the garden.
The garden is about an acre. It's lawned, with some big trees, and it's private. There's an old quarry cave at the back. You get red squirrels and deer visiting. You can sit inside and watch them.
Outside the garden wall there's a small waterfall. The White Moss walk starts just up the road. You can walk to Rydal Water and Grasmere Lake from the cottage without using the car.
Grasmere village has the usual things for tourists: cafes, pubs, shops. The gingerbread shop is there. Dove Cottage, where Wordsworth lived, is nearby and run by the Wordsworth Trust.
Ambleside and Windermere are a short drive away for boat trips, shops, or things like the World of Beatrix Potter. If you want to go further, Keswick, Coniston, and Langdale are all within about half an hour.
For walking or planning days out, the Lake District National Park site is useful. So is the National Trust page for the area.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
