Tottle Bank is in Ambleside. It's a terraced cottage on three floors, in a group of houses built on the site of an old bobbin mill. You can see the woods and waterfalls of Stockghyll from the windows.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs are typical for a cottage, so they turn and go up.
Ambleside centre is less than a ten minute walk away. There are shops, lots of cafes and pubs, and two small cinemas. You don't really need the car once you're here. For a walk, you can go straight out into the woods and up past the waterfalls. The park by the Rothay river is nice.
Lake Windermere is about a fifteen minute walk down to Waterhead, where the steamers are. You can see the Roman fort ruins there too.
Within half an hour's drive you can get to Grasmere, Coniston, Hawkshead, and the Langdales. The wider Lake District is all accessible from here.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. No pets, I'm afraid.
