Lama Lodge

Lama Lodge is in Hawkshead, Cumbria. It's a one-bedroom place, sleeps two. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's not a luxury hotel. It's more of a cosy bolt-hole.

The main space is open plan. There's a double bed, a small kitchenette, and a table. Double doors open onto a private patio. It's a sunny spot, with a table and chairs and a fire pit. The shower room is separate.

The lodge is in about half an acre of shared grounds. It feels quite private. Hawkshead village is a short walk away. There are a few shops, cafes, and pubs. The Beatrix Potter Gallery is there if you're interested. Esthwaite Water is also close by for a walk.

You can drive to Coniston, Ambleside, Windermere, and Bowness in under half an hour. For walks, the Lake District National Park site has good information. National Trust Lake District covers places like Wray Castle.

Facilities: there's WiFi, parking, bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's a shower, not a bath. The kitchenette has basics, but it's compact.
