Bowness Retreat

Bowness Retreat is in Storrs, just outside Bowness-on-Windermere. It's a modern house, built fairly recently. You're in a quiet residential area here, not right in the middle of the tourist bit.

The house sleeps six people. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. There are three floors. The open plan living area is on the first floor, which opens out at the back onto a patio. The bedrooms are on the top floor, so be ready for some stairs.

The patio is enclosed and gets the sun. There's parking for two cars at the front and a garage you can use for bikes. Inside there's a utility room with a washing machine and dryer, and a separate downstairs toilet.

You can walk into Bowness centre. It takes about fifteen minutes. Ferry Nab and the lake shore are a bit closer. The Windermere Lake Cruises steamers leave from there.

You're quite central for getting around. Ambleside and Grasmere are up north, maybe a fifteen minute drive. Newby Bridge and the Lakeside aquarium are south. You can take the car ferry from near Bowness across to Hawkshead and Coniston. National Trust Lake District has good information for walks and places to visit.

The house has things like a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring pets.
