Biskey Burrow
Biskey Burrow is a cottage in Bowness. It's a mid-terrace house, stone on the outside, on a street just back from the main bit of town. Everything you need is close by.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom, plus a separate toilet downstairs. It's a 4 Star place, so it's nicely done and comfortable. The house is on three floors. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, as you get in old cottages. Just so you know.
You come in through a small porch into the kitchen and dining area. That's the main space. The living room is through there too. Downstairs on the lower ground floor there's a bedroom and the bathroom, with a utility area for the washing machine and tumble dryer. Two more bedrooms are up on the first floor.
You can walk into Bowness centre in a few minutes. There are shops, pubs, and restaurants. There's a cinema and the World of Beatrix Potter place if you've got kids. Lake Windermere is about a ten to fifteen minute walk away. You can get boats from there, or just stroll along the shore.
For bigger walks, you're right in the Lake District. You can drive to Ambleside, Grasmere, or Hawkshead within half an hour easily. The whole national park is accessible. Windermere town is about a mile and a half away if you need a supermarket or the train station.
What's here: Wi-Fi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's no parking with the cottage, but there are pay and display car parks nearby.
