Badgers Rake 12 Squirrels Nest
Badgers Rake 12 is called Squirrel's Nest. It's an apartment on the second floor, so there are stairs to climb. It's up a hill, but you can walk to the shops and pubs in Ambleside centre easily enough.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. You can bring one dog.
The main thing is the view. You look out over Ambleside towards Loughrigg and the Fairfield Horseshoe from the living room. The dining area has patio doors that open onto a glass-fronted balcony with a couple of chairs, so you can sit outside with the view.
It has the things you'd expect: TV, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site, and a shed if you bring bikes.
There's a shared garden for the whole Badgers Rake building, with a specific bit for BBQs.
Waterhead Pier, where you can get the boats on Windermere, is less than a mile down the hill. You've got the lake, and all the walking from Ambleside is right there. For planning, the Lake District National Park site is useful, and National Trust Lake District for their places nearby.
