The Ambleside Suite
The Ambleside Suite is part of Loughrigg Brow, which is a small private estate just outside Ambleside. It's a first-floor apartment in a big old Victorian house.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms, and it has two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. There's a lift from the ground floor, which is handy if you have bags or someone finds stairs difficult.
The location is quiet. You're up a steep private drive with electric gates. It feels tucked away, but you can walk into Ambleside in about ten minutes through the park. You get a key for the gates and your own parking spot.
The main things are the space and the views. The living room is a good size with deep window seats you can sit in and look out. The view from there, and from the kitchen, is across the grounds to the Fairfield Horseshoe fells. The kitchen is well-equipped. There's also a shared tennis court in the grounds.
You have access to about ten acres of grounds, which are good for a stroll. For proper walks, you can get straight onto the fells. Loughrigg Fell is right there. Grasmere and Rydal Water are walkable from the door if you're up for it.
Facilities wise: it’s all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, parking. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. Sorry, no pets allowed.
