The Farriers is in Windermere. It's one of two cottages in the grounds of the main house, The Abbey Coach House. You'll be next to The Coach House cottage. The grounds are shared but they're big and well kept, so it doesn't feel crowded.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's been refurbished to a good, comfortable standard. It's not huge, but it's well laid out.
You can walk into Bowness-on-Windermere in about ten minutes. That's where the lake cruises leave from. There are shops, pubs, and restaurants there too. The nearest ones are about a quarter of a mile away.
For walking, you're right in it. The bus route and train station are close if you don't want to drive. Ambleside is about ten minutes by car. Grasmere, where Wordsworth's house is, is maybe twenty minutes. Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's house, is a similar drive, over near Hawkshead.
Facilities: there's a patio area with a barbecue, parking on site, WiFi, and a TV. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
