The Farriers
This place is called The Farriers. It's in Windermere, up in the Lake District. It's one of two cottages next to each other on the same bit of land. They call it The Abbey Coach House. The grounds are shared but they're big and tidy, so it doesn't feel crowded.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. Everything's on one floor, which is handy.
You can walk to Windermere village or down to Bowness-on-Windermere in about ten minutes. That's where the lake shore is. There's a shop, pubs, and restaurants about a quarter of a mile away.
If you want to get out on the water, you can get the cruise boats from Bowness. For walking, you're right in it. The fells start pretty much from the door. Ambleside is a short drive away. Grasmere, where Wordsworth lived, is about a twenty minute drive. Beatrix Potter's house, Hill Top at Sawrey, is maybe fifteen minutes by car.
In terms of stuff, it's got parking, a garden patio with a BBQ, wifi, and a TV. You can bring one dog. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
