High Mere
High Mere is an apartment in Windermere. It's part of a big old Victorian house up in the Heathwaite area. You get your own door up a few slate steps.
It's for two people. One bedroom, but two bathrooms, which is handy. Both have showers. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means everything's in good nick and works properly.
The view from the front is good. You look out over trees towards the lake and the fells. It's quiet up here.
You're about ten minutes walk down the hill into Windermere village for shops. Bowness-on-Windermere and the lake shore are about twenty minutes walk the other way. That's where you get the boats. The walk back up is a bit steep, just so you know.
You can walk from the door straight onto some of the footpaths. Or it's an easy drive to most places in the Lakes. Ambleside is ten minutes by car. Keswick is about half an hour.
It's got a washing machine, a dishwasher, parking right outside, and the WiFi is fine. All the bedding and towels are there. No pets, I'm afraid.
