High Mere
High Mere is a one bed apartment on the edge of Windermere village. It sleeps two. It used to be part of a big old house.
The main thing is the view. You look out over the lake towards the fells. It's a good spot, up in a residential area called Heathwaite. You get your own private entrance up a few slate steps.
It's a 10 minute walk down into Windermere for shops. About 20 minutes on foot to Bowness and the lake. From there you can get on the boats. There are a couple of pubs within half a mile.
The place is done to a high standard. Two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything's in good order and it's well-equipped. There's a dishwasher, a washing machine, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included.
You can start walks from the door. To drive further into the Lakes, you're well placed. Ambleside is about 10 minutes by car. Keswick is maybe half an hour.
