Club Cottage is in Bowness on Windermere. It's an apartment, set back from the main road, so it's quiet.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms. The good thing is there are three bathrooms, so if you're going with other couples, everyone gets their own space. It feels quite modern inside. The living room has big windows.
You're about five minutes' walk from the centre of Bowness and the lakefront. That's handy. The town is busy, but you can get away from it. The shops, cafes and restaurants are all right there.
From the shore, you look out over the water to the Langdale fells. It's a good view.
For getting out, you can get the Windermere Lake Cruises from Bowness. The Aquarium of the Lakes is at Lakeside. The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway is there too.
The World of Beatrix Potter is a short walk from the cottage. If you want something more active, there's Go Ape, or you can catch the ferry across to Hawkshead. Walking and cycling routes start right from the door.
Ambleside, Grasmere and Coniston are all within a half hour drive.
Facilities: There's a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets.
If you're planning walks: Lake District National Park and National Trust Lake District.
