Rose How 1 is an apartment on the Yewfield Estate, up on Hawkshead Hill. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main room is open plan. There's a super kingsize bed at one end and the kitchen and living space at the other. The kitchen is fine for making meals. Bifold doors open straight out onto a private deck. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
The bathroom is off a small hallway. It has a bath with a shower over it. There are grab rails fitted.
You're on the first floor, but there's no internal stairs to worry about. Outside, there's a parking space right by the entrance and an electric vehicle charger.
The estate is about 80 acres. You can walk through the woods and meadows down into Hawkshead village, which is about a mile and a half away. There's a pub there and a shop. Tarn Hows is a nice spot for a walk and it's on the estate. It's popular.
By car, Coniston Water is about 10 minutes away. Windermere is maybe 15 minutes. Grizedale Forest is close for cycling. If you want a longer drive, Cartmel has its racecourse and a famous pudding shop. For walks and information, the Lake District National Park site is useful, and National Trust Lake District covers places like Tarn Hows and Hill Top.
The estate itself has a guest house and a vegetarian restaurant on site. You can book other similar apartments here if you're coming with more people.
We take up to two dogs. There's WiFi and a TV. All bedding and towels are included.
