Coniston Cottage is a two-bedroom terraced house in Coniston. It sleeps four. It's up a bit of a hill, so you get a good view of the lake from the front.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's well looked after and comfortable. Everything is on one level when you're inside: kitchen, living area, dining table. The stairs to the bedrooms are upstairs. They're fine, just normal stairs.
There's a small patio out the back. It gets the morning sun. There's parking for two cars right outside.
You're about five minutes' walk from the centre of Coniston. There are a few pubs and shops there. The nearest pub is about 350 yards away. The lake is a ten minute walk downhill.
If you want to walk the Old Man of Coniston, you can start right from the door. Grizedale Forest is a short drive away. They've got walking trails and cycle routes there. For the lakes, you can drive to Hawkshead and take the car ferry across to Windermere.
It's a good base. Ambleside is about a 20 minute drive. Windermere and Bowness are about 25.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV with Netflix. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
