Tarnside
Tarnside is in Little Loughrigg, just outside Ambleside. It's a first-floor apartment, part of a converted old house. You get views out over your own little tarn and the Langdale Valley.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. The main living area is open plan. There's a wood-burning stove and doors out to a south-facing balcony.
The place has a 4 Star rating, so it's well equipped and comfortable. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. All bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.
The stairs are regular indoor stairs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets allowed.
You're on the edge of about two and a half acres of shared woodland. You can walk straight out onto the fells from the door. There's a pub about a ten-minute walk away. The nearest shop is in Ambleside, about three miles.
You're pretty central here. Ambleside and Grasmere are both about a ten-minute drive. Lake Windermere is three miles for boat trips. Coniston Water is about eight miles if you want to sail or kayak. You can get to Ullswater or Keswick within half an hour.
