Langdale View, Chapel Stile
Langdale View is in Chapel Stile, in Great Langdale. It's a stone cottage, one of a terrace.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both upstairs, with two bathrooms. One's an ensuite to the twin room. It's got a 3 Star rating, which basically means it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious.
Access is round the back at the lower ground level. That's where the private parking and a covered seating area are. You come in there into a hallway, which is useful for boots and coats. Then you go up a spiral staircase to the main living area. The stairs are spiral and quite steep. Just so you know.
The living area is open plan, with the kitchen off it. You can close the kitchen door. There's a dishwasher. A small sun porch leads to the front door and a patio with a good view down the valley.
You're right in the valley. For a walk, the Langdale Pikes are about two miles further up. Elterwater village is half a mile down the river path. They've got a pub and a cafe by the lake.
Ambleside is about a 15 minute drive. Windermere and Bowness are maybe 20 minutes. They have the shops and cafes. The Lake District National Park site is good for walking routes. For local history, the National Trust looks after a few places nearby, like Tarn Hows.
Facilities: there's the parking, the garden patio, WiFi, TV, and bedding and towels are included. No pets.
