Langdale View, Chapel Stile
This is Langdale View. It's in Chapel Stile village, right in the Langdale valley. You get parking at the back and a little covered bit to sit outside.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs. One double and one twin. There are actually two bathrooms, which is handy. One's an en-suite shower to the twin room, and there's a family bathroom with a bath. The stairs are a spiral staircase. They're fine, just take your time.
Inside, the main living area is open plan. The kitchen's off it and you can shut the door if you want. It's got a dishwasher. You come in at the lower ground level, which is good for boots and coats, then go up to the living room. From there, you can go out the front door to a patio. That's where you get the view. It looks right up the valley.
Chapel Stile has a shop and a pub, both less than a mile. For a walk, you can follow the river to Elterwater. That's about half a mile. It's a nice lake and there's a pub there too. The Langdale Pikes are a couple of miles further up the valley if you want a proper walk.
Ambleside is about a ten minute drive. Windermere and Bowness are maybe twenty minutes. They've got all the usual things: shops, cafes, boat trips on the lake. For a day out, National Trust Lake District has lots of walking routes and properties. Lake District National Park is the main site for maps and information.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. No pets, sorry.
