Oaklands
Oaklands is a second floor flat in Ambleside. It's in a small block, quiet enough, but you're only a few minutes walk from the middle of town.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 3 Star, which means it's comfortable and clean. The main thing is the view. You look right out over Wansfell and towards Helvellyn. You can see it from the living room.
Being on the second floor means there are stairs. Just so you know.
You can walk to everything in Ambleside. Shops, cafes, pubs, all of it. For walks, you can pick up paths straight from the door. Stock Ghyll Force is a good one to start with.
Driving wise, you're well placed. Windermere is about ten minutes. Grasmere and Rydal Water are fifteen to twenty. The Kirkstone Pass is close if you want to go over to Ullswater.
It's got what you'd need. Parking is on site, which is useful. There's wifi, a cot and a highchair if you're bringing little ones. Bedding is included. No pets, sorry.
For planning days out, the Lake District National Park site is the best one to check. The National Trust has all their property information there too.
