Neaum Crag is our lodge in Little Loughrigg, just outside Elterwater. It's detached, made of wood, and sits in 18 acres. We expanded it and updated things in 2021.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms. One double, one twin. One bathroom. The kitchen is new. It's a four-star lodge, so it's got decent fittings.
Outside, there's a large veranda with seating and a heater. The lodge is in a woodland setting, which means deer and other animals sometimes wander past. The woods and grounds are shared, but your outdoor space is private.
There's a heated indoor plunge pool on site you can use, along with a sauna, a Jacuzzi, and a table tennis table. They're shared with a few other lodges.
You're right on the edge of the Langdales here. You can start walking directly from the door into the fells or the woods. The pub is about a quarter of a mile down the lane. Ambleside is two and a half miles. Coniston Water is about eight. Windermere isn't far either if you fancy the water sports centre.
The facilities are on the listing, but to confirm: parking is right there, bedding and towels are included, there's a washing machine and dishwasher, and WiFi. We allow up to two dogs.
If you're planning, these sites are useful: National Trust Lake District and Lake District National Park.
