This is Elterwater. It's a wooden lodge, detached, on a place called Little Loughrigg. It's in a bit of woodland, so it feels quite private. There are deer about, you'll often see them from the window.
The lodge sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one double and one with twin beds. One bathroom. It was refurbished a couple of years ago so it's in good order. It's got a 4 Star rating.
Outside, you've got your own bit of decking with a table and chairs. There's an outdoor heater up there. The shared facilities are the main thing here. There's an indoor heated plunge pool, a sauna, and a jacuzzi you can use. There's table tennis too.
You can walk straight from the door into the Langdales. The path up Little Loughrigg is practically on the doorstep. A pub is about a quarter of a mile away. Ambleside is two and a half miles for shops and more places to eat.
Coniston Water is eight miles away. Windermere is about the same. If you want to try water sports, the centre on Windermere is good for that. The Lake District Visitor Centre near Brockhole is worth a look if it's your first time.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
