Croft Cottage is in Ambleside. It's a detached stone cottage on our lane. You've got your own garden at the back, which is quite sheltered.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own en-suite shower rooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The rooms are a good size and there's plenty of light.
You're right in the town. The main street with shops, cafes and pubs is about a two minute walk. There's a local shop and a pub about 200 yards away. Stockghyll Force waterfall is a nice short walk from the door. For a longer walk, you can start from the cottage and head straight up the fells.
You can easily leave the car. The buses stop nearby if you want to go to Grasmere or down to Windermere. The ferry across the lake goes from Waterhead, which is about a mile down the road.
It's good for families who want to be in the middle of things. You don't have to drive anywhere if you don't want to.
What's there: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, wi-fi. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive. No pets.
