Croft Cottage
Croft Cottage is in Ambleside. It's a detached house, so you've got your own walls all round. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's in good order and well looked after. Everything works. The living room is decent sized, there's a TV and wifi. Kitchen has a dishwasher and a small table. There's a washing machine too. Everything's included, bedding, towels, that sort of thing.
There's parking on the drive. The garden is a patio area with a table and chairs. It's shared with the other cottage that's part of the same property.
Location is the main thing. You're about a two minute walk from the centre of Ambleside. Shops, cafes, pubs, all that. There's a good local shop about 200 yards away. The local pub does food.
You're right in the middle of everything for walking. Stockghyll Force is a nice short walk from the door. For proper days out, you've got the whole of the Lake District. Lake District National Park has all the maps and information. Grasmere village is about ten minutes in the car. You can get the ferry across Windermere from Waterhead, which is a mile or so down the road.
Facilities: all the things you'd expect are here. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV, parking. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
