You're about a quarter of a mile from the village centre. There's a pub and a shop there. The lake is a short, level walk away. For getting about, the open-top bus stops at the end of the lane, which is useful if you don't want to drive.
It's a good spot for walks. The Grasmere and Rydal Water circuit is right there. For the bigger fells, you're well placed. Helvellyn and the Langdale Pikes are within a 30 minute drive.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
