High White Stones is a cottage apartment in Ambleside. It's an old place, Grade II listed from the 17th century. It's on a quiet lane in the oldest part of the village, but you're only 200 yards from the main street with the shops and pubs.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase.
There are oak beams and old features, but it has modern things like a dishwasher and washing machine. The bathroom towels are large. The duvet and pillows are goose down, but we can provide alternatives if you're allergic.
There's a small, sunny garden with a patio and table. You can sit out there.
You can walk straight out of the door onto the fells. If you want to drive, Grasmere is about ten minutes away. Keswick is maybe twenty five minutes. Windermere town is fifteen minutes.
The place is on a lane. There's no dedicated parking spot, so you'd need to use the local car parks. The nearest is about a three minute walk.
