Park Road Cottage is about a five minute walk into Windermere village. It's a terrace house, so you've got neighbours either side. The garden at the back is yours to use. It's enclosed, which is handy with a dog.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms. Both have their own bathroom, one's an en-suite shower room. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well equipped. The stairs are a bit steep and winding, just so you know.
There's an old range cooker in the kitchen. It works, but it's more for looks and keeping the place warm. The main oven and hob are electric.
You're close to everything. The local shops and pubs in Windermere are a short walk. Bowness-on-Windermere is about a mile down the hill, that's where you get onto the lake. Queens Park is just around the corner for letting the dog run.
From Bowness you can get onto the lake. The steamers are there, and you can hire boats or paddle boards. For walking, you're right in it. Ormere itself is there, or you can drive a short way into the fells.
If you want activities, Brockhole visitor centre is nearby on the lake. Go Ape and the like are a short drive. For a quieter day, Holchird Gardens or Blackwell Arts and Crafts house are close. The National Trust and the Lake District National Park sites are good for planning.
What's here: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage. We take one well-behaved dog. The local pub is a few minutes walk.
