Fellfoot Cottage is in Staveley, which is between Windermere and Kendal. It's an old bobbin workers cottage that's been updated inside. It sleeps four, two bedrooms, both with a kingsize bed. One bathroom with a shower over the bath.
The stairs are typical cottage stairs. They're a bit steep and turn at the top.
Downstairs, the living room is at the front. The kitchen and dining table are at the back, leading out to a little outhouse with a washer/dryer and space for boots and bikes. The garden is up a few steps behind there. It catches the morning sun. It's a good spot for a coffee.
Staveley village has everything you need. There are two pubs, a good village shop, a butchers, cafés, and a proper bakery. There's also a big cycle shop if you need anything for bikes. Lake District National Park walking and cycling starts right from the door into the Kentmere valley.
Windermere lake and Bowness are about ten minutes drive. Kendal is about the same. From Windermere you can get the steamer boats up the lake. Kendal has the Brewery Arts Centre for films and food. For a wider view of what's on offer, Visit Lake District is useful.
Facilities wise: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, and the washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is enclosed, but it's not totally escape-proof for a determined pet.
