Sprint Lodge
Sprint Lodge is in Burneside, which is just outside Kendal. It's a detached lodge built a few years ago on a working farm. You have it to yourselves. The views over the fields are really good.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. Everything's quite new.
You get to it by a steep path from the parking area. It's not a problem, but worth knowing if you have lots of bags or anyone with limited mobility.
Burneside village has a shop and a pub, about half a mile down the lane. Kendal is only a couple of miles away for bigger shops, cafes, and the usual town things.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. The southern Lake District is about 20 minutes' drive. You can be at Bowness and Lake Windermere quickly. The Yorkshire Dales are about the same distance the other way. Sedbergh is half an hour, Hawes a bit further.
Facilities are all there: designed for views, wood burner for cool evenings, dishwasher, washing machine, parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. No pets.
