Burnthwaite Cottage is in Ings. It's about ten minutes in the car to Windermere or Ambleside if you want the busy bits. But the village here is quiet.
It's a very old cottage, part of the old parsonage. It's 250 years old. You can see that in the walls. They're thick. The stairs are a bit steep, which is normal for somewhere this age.
It's for two people only. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not just basic. The main living room is upstairs. They did that because the view is better from there. You look out over the fields.
There's a pub, The Watermill, about 50 yards away. It's a good one. They've won awards. They do food.
For walking, Staveley is a couple of miles down the road. The Kentmere Valley paths start from there. It's a good area for cycling too. You can store bikes here.
What's here: parking, a washing machine, a garden, WiFi, and the bedding is included. You can bring one dog.
