Hazelrigg

Hazelrigg is on Storrs Park Road in Bowness. It's a walking area, so you can park on the drive but you don't really need the car for most things.

The cottage sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs, two doubles and a bunk room. One bathroom, with a bath and shower over it. There's a separate toilet downstairs.

Downstairs is all open plan. There's a wood burning stove. The back doors open onto a good sized terrace with a table and chairs that gets sun most of the day. The garden behind that is lawned. The view from the back is over the trees to the lake. You can see a good stretch of it.

It's a five star property, which means it's been renovated to a high standard. It's all new and clean. Everything works.

You're about a fifteen minute walk from Bowness centre and the lake shore at Ferry Nab. The Windermere lake cruises leave from there. The path along the lake to Storrs Temple is just down the hill.

For a proper walk, you can drive or get a boat to Ambleside or Wray Castle. The National Trust website is good for routes. Within half an hour's drive you've got Ambleside, Grasmere, Hawkshead via the ferry, and Coniston.

Two well-behaved dogs are allowed. There's a stairgate, a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. It has WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Parking for two cars on the drive.
