Hazelrigg is in Storrs Park, just up from Bowness on Windermere. It's a three-bedroom cottage for six people.
It's got a five-star rating. That means it's recently been done up and is in good order. There's one bathroom upstairs, with a bath and a shower over it. There's also a separate toilet.
Downstairs is all one big room. Kitchen, dining table, sofas. There's a wood burner. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine.
Outside, there's a bit of lawn at the back and a terrace off to the side. It gets the sun. There's garden furniture and a barbecue.
The location is good. You're about a 15-minute walk from the centre of Bowness, which has shops and restaurants. It's quiet up here though. You can walk down to the lake at Ferry Nab. The Windermere lake steamers leave from there and Bowness.
For getting around, Ambleside and Windermere town are about ten minutes north by car. Head south and you get to Newby Bridge and the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway. The car ferry over to Hawkshead is nearby too.
You're right in the middle of the Lake District National Park. There are walks starting from the door. You can drive into the fells easily.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, wifi, parking for two cars. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
