North Dean is up on Ghyll Head. It's detached and looks out over Windermere. The view really is the main thing. You get it from the main living room, the dining area, and some of the bedrooms. There's a big terrace and a balcony off the living room to sit out on.
It sleeps ten, in five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well set up and finished. Because of the slope, the living room is on the first floor. The stairs are fine, just something to be aware of.
The indoor pool is heated. There's a changing area and some seats next to it. You'll need to bring your own towels for the pool. The hot tub is outside under a cover. The games room has a pool table and table football.
The dining table is by a huge window so you can look at the lake while you eat. The master bedroom has that same view.
The property is attached to an annexe the owners use sometimes. You wouldn't really know they're there.
Bowness-on-Windermere is about ten minutes by car. It's got the usual shops, cafes, and places to eat. The World of Beatrix Potter is there if you have kids. You can get the steamers from Bowness to go up the lake, or take the car ferry across to the other side.
For facilities, it's all there: woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TVs, parking. Bedding and towels are included, but not pool towels. There's a cot and highchair. No pets.
