Meadowcroft Cottage

Meadowcroft Cottage is in Storrs, about halfway between Bowness and the top of Lake Windermere. It's one of a row of cottages there. You've got a bit of lawn at the front and a parking space. It's shared parking with the neighbours.

The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one with two singles. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and it works, it's not a fancy place.

Downstairs is all one room. Kitchen at one end, then a dining table, then the sitting area by the windows. It's a bright room. The windows look out over the lawn. The kitchen has what you need.

It's a good spot if you want to be near Bowness but not right in the middle of it. Bowness has the shops and restaurants and it's about a ten minute walk. The lake is just down the road at Ferry Nab. You can walk to the steamer piers from there.

For getting about, you're on the main road that runs up the side of the lake. Ambleside and Grasmere are north, maybe a 20 minute drive. Going south, you get to Newby Bridge and Lakeside in about 15 minutes. The car ferry to get over to Hawkshead is a five minute drive away.

A few things from the list: there's a TV, WiFi, parking, bedding and towels are included. The entrance is step-free so it's suitable for wheelchair access, but do check with us about the internal layout if you have specific needs.
