The Stable Nest is a studio apartment for two people in Bowness. It's on the ground floor in an old stone stable block. There's a vaulted ceiling which makes it feel quite spacious even though it's compact.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean, comfortable and has what you need, but it's not a luxury hotel. It's a good base.
You can walk to the lakefront in about five minutes. The main shops, pubs and restaurants are even closer, maybe two minutes. There's a dedicated parking space behind the building, which is a big plus in Bowness.
Inside, it's all one open plan room. The bed, sitting area and kitchen are together. The kitchen is small but it's got the basics if you want to cook. The bathroom is separate.
From there, you can walk along the lake, or get on one of the steamer boats. Ambleside is about a 15 minute drive. Hawkshead is maybe 20 minutes. For a good walk, the trails around Orrest Head or Claife Heights are nearby. The Lake District National Park site has maps and ideas.
Facilities include WiFi, TV, bedding and towels. There's a washing machine in a shared utility room for the other apartments in the block. No pets.
If you're coming with another couple, this place can be booked alongside two other apartments in the same building.
