Helm View
Helm View is in Bowness on Windermere, on a quiet street called Annisgarth. It's a slate house you get to yourselves, with a patio and garden. It's about a fifteen minute walk to the middle of Bowness, or you can walk the other way into the fields in about five minutes. You can see the lake from there.
It sleeps seven. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and modern inside, but it's still a proper slate house. There's a log fire for the evenings.
The kitchen is open plan and has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a separate games room with a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.
You can bring up to three dogs. There's parking on site.
Bowness has shops and restaurants. Lake Windermere is there for the boats. The World of Beatrix Potter is in Bowness too. Ambleside and Hawkshead are a short drive away, maybe ten or fifteen minutes.
For walking, you're right in it. For more organised days out, you've got places like Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's house, or gardens like Sizergh within half an hour. The main Lake District National Park site is useful for planning.
