Helm View

Helm View is in Bowness on Windermere. It's up in Annisgarth, which is a quieter, tree lined bit just behind the main bustle. You can walk down into town in a few minutes.

The house sleeps seven. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's been modernised inside but it's still a proper slate Lakeland house. It gets a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped.

You get the whole place. There's a patio and garden. The living room has an open fire, which is nice in the evenings. There's also a games room with a pool table, which is useful if the weather turns.

It's about a twenty minute walk from the house down to the lake shore at Windermere. Or you can walk the other way and you're in open fields and views in five minutes.

The towns of Ambleside and Hawkshead are a short drive away, maybe ten or fifteen minutes. You can get to Grizedale Forest, or start walks up the fells from there. For Beatrix Potter things, the World of Beatrix Potter is in Bowness, and Hill Top farm is over near Hawkshead.

Facilities wise: it's got parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. We can take up to three dogs.

If you're looking for walking routes or more about the area, the Lake District National Park site is the best place to start.
