Tower View

Tower View is a detached house near Ghyll Head, a few miles from Bowness. It's on its own bit of land. The garden goes up a bank, with steps that lead into the woods at the back. It's quiet.

It sleeps six, over three bedrooms. There's one bathroom upstairs and a separate toilet downstairs. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's spacious, not luxury. The living room has a wood burner. There's a separate dining room and a utility room with a washing machine.

Down the road, about 350 yards, there's a restaurant with a spa. For a proper shop or a pub, you'd need to drive about four miles into Bowness. Bowness has all the usual tourist things: shops, cafes, and the Beatrix Potter place. Windermere town is another couple of miles on.

You're well placed for walking straight from the door. For sailing or messing about on the lake, you can drive to Bowness pier. Grizedale Forest is about twenty minutes drive for mountain biking and walking trails.

Ambleside is about twenty minutes north. Kendal is maybe half an hour south. Coniston and Hawkshead are a bit further. If it rains, there's the aquarium near Lakeside or the motor museum.

Facilities are what you'd expect: parking, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, cot and stairgate if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
