Hazelrigg Farm

Hazelrigg Farm is our place in Newby Bridge. It's a detached cottage, so no neighbours on the other side of the wall. The garden is enclosed which is handy.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs, two bathrooms. One bathroom is downstairs, which is useful. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped, not just the basics. The doorways are wide and there are no steps at the front, so it's good for wheelchair access into the main rooms.

You've got a wood burner in the living room. There's a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one dog.

Location wise, it's quiet and rural. Ulverston is about ten minutes away for bigger shops. Newby Bridge itself is small, but it's got the Lakes Aquarium and you can get on the Windermere Lake Cruises there. The Haverthwaite steam railway is just up the road too.

Windermere lake is a couple of minutes' drive. Cartmel village is about fifteen minutes. It's known for the racecourse and its sticky toffee pudding. There are some very good restaurants there, but you need to book well ahead.

For walking, you're right on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Coniston, Ambleside, and the Bowness area are all within a half hour drive. The coast at Morecambe Bay is about six miles away if you fancy a change from the fells.
