Hazelrigg Farm

It's called Hazelrigg Farm and it's just outside Newby Bridge. The cottage is detached, so no neighbours on the other side of the wall. The garden is enclosed.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which helps a lot with that many people. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

There's a wood burner in the living room. It heats the place up nicely. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. We provide bedding and towels.

You can bring one dog. The garden is secure for that. There's parking right there.

The entrance is level and the doors are wide, so it's accessible for a wheelchair. Just something to note.

Newby Bridge is a good spot. You're at the very southern tip of Windermere lake. The Lakes Aquarium is there, and you can get on the Windermere Lake Cruises boats from there too. The Haverthwaite steam train station is close.

Cartmel village is about fifteen minutes drive. It's known for the racecourse and the sticky toffee pudding. It has some very good restaurants, like L'Enclume, but you need to book a long way ahead.

You're well placed for getting into the Lakes proper. Ambleside, Bowness, and Coniston are all within a half hour drive. The coast at Morecambe Bay is about six miles away.

For walking, you've got the whole of the Lake District to choose from. For official routes and park information, the Lake District National Park site is useful. National Trust Lake District covers a lot of the properties and trails too.
