Silverdale Apartment is in Meathop, just outside Grange-over-Sands. It's a first-floor flat in a big old country house that's been split into a few holiday places. You're up on a bit of a hill, so the main thing is the view. It looks south, over fields and trees, all the way out to Morecambe Bay. On a clear day you can see the hills on the other side.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's part of a small, quiet caravan park owned by the Caravan Club, but the apartment building is separate. The grounds are nice to walk around, about ten acres.
There's a pub serving food about 400 yards down the lane. The nearest shop is in Grange, about three miles away. Grange-over-Sands is a quiet little seaside town. It's got a promenade, a few shops, and a golf course.
You're about 20 minutes' drive from Windermere, so it's a good spot for seeing the southern Lakes without being right in the middle of it all. Cartmel is very close. You've got the Priory and the racecourse there, and the sticky toffee pudding shop.
A few big houses are nearby if that's your thing. Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall are close. Holker Hall is also just along the coast.
Facilities: it's got a washing machine, a TV, and parking right outside. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
