Corner Cottage is in Yealand Redmayne. It's on our smallholding, right on the border between Lancashire and Cumbria. You're in the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It feels properly rural.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The place is open plan downstairs.
You've got your own patio area with a table and chairs. It looks out over our stables. We've got pots of flowers out. Between April and September, we get swallows nesting in the farm buildings. They've flown all the way from Africa.
The local pubs in Yealand, Silverdale and Arnside are good. They're proper country pubs for a drink or a meal.
For walks, you can start right from the door. The coastal path is easy to get to. Leighton Moss RSPB reserve is close by if you like birdwatching. You might see otters or deer there too. Arnside Tower and the beach at Silverdale are worth a visit. The Arnside & Silverdale AONB site has good maps and ideas.
Kirkby Lonsdale is a nice market town not far away. Kendal has shops and a cinema. You can get to Lancaster city or Morecambe on the coast within half an hour.
The Lake District is about a 30 minute drive north. That gets you to places like Windermere and Coniston.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs. There's bicycle storage if you're bringing bikes.
If you're with a bigger group, you can book this place together with The Dairy and The Coach House next door.
