Arnside Apartment
Arnside Apartment is in Meathop, which is really the countryside just outside Grange-over-Sands. It's one of six apartments in a big, converted country house on a hill. You get great views from here, south over the fields right out to Morecambe Bay.
It sleeps four, but it's one bedroom and one bathroom, so it's a cosy set up. Good for a couple or a small family. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well kept and comfortable. The house is on the edge of a small, quiet caravan park.
The apartment itself is on the first floor. It's all on one level inside, but there are external stairs up to the front door. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and grab rails, which is handy.
There's a local pub with food about 400 yards down the road. For a shop, you'll need to drive into Grange-over-Sands, which is three miles away. It's a nice little town on the coast. They've got a beach, shops, and a golf course.
You're in a good spot for getting about. The southern Lake District is easy. Windermere is about 20 minutes by car. Cartmel is close, it's got the priory and those famous sticky toffee puddons. Great stately homes nearby too, like Holker Hall and Sizergh Castle.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, TV, and bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. One well-behaved dog is welcome. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
