Hope Cottage
Hope Cottage is in Meathop, just outside Grange-over-Sands. It’s a mews cottage, so it’s attached to others around a shared green. It’s quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well looked after.
The local pub is about a hundred yards up the road. They do food. Grange-over-Sands is about a mile and a half away if you need shops or a café. It’s a nice little town to wander around, with a long promenade.
You’re well placed here. The southern end of Lake Windermere is about ten minutes’ drive. There’s decent walking straight from the door, and up on Hamps Fell or Whitbarrow if you want something a bit higher.
A lot of the big houses and gardens are nearby. Holker Hall and Sizergh Castle are both worth a visit. The Beatrix Potter connection is everywhere if that’s of interest.
In the cottage you’ve got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
