Hope Cottage
This is Hope Cottage. It's in Meathop, which is just outside Grange-over-Sands. It's a mews cottage, so it’s part of a small block, but it's detached from the others.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both have their own bathrooms which is handy. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well looked after.
The grounds are shared but they’re quiet. You get your own parking spot right outside.
There’s a pub about a minute’s walk away. They do food. Grange-over-Sands is a mile and a half down the road. It's a nice little town with a long promenade, some shops and places to eat.
For a proper day by the water, Lake Windermere is about a twenty minute drive. The southern end is less busy.
You’re well placed for walking locally. Hamps Fell and Whitbarrow are good. For gardens, Holker Hall and Sizergh Castle are close. Further afield, you can get into the Lakes proper or over towards the Yorkshire Dales, both within half an hour.
Inside, it’s got everything: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, sorry.
