Hillside Farm Cottage
Hillside Farm Cottage is in Allithwaite. We live in the farmhouse next door. The cottage used to be part of the farm. We renovated it a few years ago.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The garden is enclosed and looks out towards the coast. You can see the sea from there on a clear day.
There's a local pub you can walk to. It's about five minutes down the lane. They do food. Grange-over-Sands is a couple of miles away if you need shops or a proper promenade walk. Cartmel is even closer, famous for the priory and the sticky toffee pudding.
You're close to the Lakes here without being right in the middle of it. It's about seven miles to the bottom of Lake Windermere. You can drive up into the fells from here, or go along the coast. Morecambe Bay is on the doorstep. Humphrey Head is a good local beach, about two miles away.
For facilities, there's a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. The kitchen has what you need. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There is a step into the cottage.
