Lythdene is on a quiet side street in Grange over Sands. It's a terraced Victorian cottage, sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs, two doubles and a single, and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and well kept.
The main living space downstairs is open plan. Kitchen, dining area, and sitting area all together. There's a gas stove that looks like a wood burner. Floors are oak. The front faces the quiet street, and there's on-road parking. The back has an enclosed courtyard garden.
You can walk into town in a few minutes. There's a shop and a pub about half a mile away. Grange itself is an Edwardian seaside town. The promenade is about a mile long and traffic-free. Good for a flat walk.
For a proper beach, you'd drive. The coast here is Morecambe Bay, so it's mostly sands and mudflats. Good for birdwatching. There are a few nature reserves along the coast. The ornamental gardens in Grange are nice.
If you like walking, Hampsfield Fell is nearby. On a clear day you can see a long way from the top. Cartmel village is about ten minutes by car. It has a racecourse and a medieval priory. The Lake District proper is about a 20-30 minute drive. You can be in Bowness-on-Windermere, or starting a walk up some of the fells, pretty quickly.
Facilities: it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. The utilities are included in the price. There's no step at the front door, so wheelchair access is okay to get in, but it's not a fully adapted property. Sorry, no pets.
