The Cottage At Breeze Hill
The Cottage at Breeze Hill is in Carr Bank, Cumbria. It's attached to our house, but it's completely separate. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms: one with a king-size bed you can split into twins, and one with a standard twin. One main bathroom with a big shower and a bath, plus a separate toilet by the front door.
The kitchen is a good size, with a table for eating. It leads through to the sun room at the back. That sun room gets the afternoon light. It looks out over our garden, which we do keep for ourselves, but you get a nice view of it. The living room is separate, with a smart TV that has Netflix. There's a PlayStation 4 there too.
Outside, there's a small patio area at the front with a table and a BBQ. You can park one car right next to the cottage.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. It's a good base.
Carr Bank is quiet. You're on the edge of the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The walk up Arnside Knott is the big one here, for the views over Morecambe Bay. Arnside village is a few minutes' drive. It's a small place with a bakery, a couple of pubs, and a chip shop. The pier is good for watching the sunset.
Within half an hour's drive you can be in the southern Lake District, around Windermere. The Yorkshire Dales, towards Ingleton or Kirkby Lonsdale, are about the same distance the other way. Levens Hall is nearby for its gardens.
You can bring one dog. We just ask that you bring a blanket if they like the sofa, and use the porch to clean them off after walks.
Facilities: WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels included. There's a cot and highchair if needed. We've also put in an electric vehicle charger.
