Hillview

Hillview is in Millness, near Crooklands. It's a detached cottage down a quiet lane. We're on the eastern edge of the Lake District, so it's not right in the thick of it, but you can get to Windermere in about half an hour.

The place was all redone last year. It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and tidy, not grand. Everything is on one level, which is handy.

You've got your own garden, mostly lawn. There's a patio and a barbecue. The wood-fired hot tub is out there too. It looks over the fields.

Inside, the main room has a wood burner and the beams are original. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher. Across a small courtyard is a conservatory, which is heated and has more seating. It's a good spot.

You're only about ten minutes from the M6 at Junction 36, so it's easy to get to. The Lancaster Canal towpath is five minutes away by car for a flat walk. There's plenty of cycling round here too. Kendal is twenty minutes away for shops and supermarkets.

You're well placed for both the Lakes and the Dales. Windermere is within half an hour. For walking, you've got options like the Lake District National Park and the Yorkshire Dales National Park about the same distance.

Practical stuff: there's parking, an electric vehicle charger, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding is included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
