Farleton View is in Summerlands, Cumbria. It's a detached cottage. The name comes from the view of Farleton Knob out the front windows.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The layout is a bit different. You come in on the ground floor into a boot room, which is handy for boots and coats. Then you go upstairs to the main living area. The kitchen and sitting room are on that first floor to make the most of the view. The bedrooms are up a few more steps at the back, overlooking the garden.
You're well placed here. Kendal is about a 15 minute drive. From there you can get into the Lake District proper. Windermere is maybe half an hour. In the other direction, you can head up towards the Pennines and the Hadrian's Wall country if you fancy that. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is to the south, about a 20 minute drive to Sedbergh. Arnside and the coast at Morecambe Bay are also within half an hour.
Locally, there's a shop about a mile and a quarter away. A pub is a bit further, about a mile and a half. Another good pub, the Brown Horse at Winster, is two miles.
For facilities, you've got the basics covered: parking, wifi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. There's a wood burning stove in the living room. The garden is yours to use. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
