Beech Hill is our place in Kendal. It's a Victorian mid-terrace house, so it's part of a row. The main thing about it is the view from the front. You look right out over the town and the church towards the fells. You can see it from all the front rooms, even the bathroom.
It sleeps five people in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs are normal for a house of this age, so they're a bit steeper than modern ones.
You get two little outside areas. There's a terrace at the front for the view, and a private, enclosed garden at the back with a table and chairs. The back garden gets the sun for most of the day.
Kendal town centre is about a five minute walk. There are shops, pubs, and cafes. It's a proper market town. For the bigger lakes, Windermere is about a fifteen minute drive. You can get to places like Staveley or Kirkby Lonsdale in under half an hour. Sedbergh, which is a book town, is about twenty minutes away.
Inside, it's got what you'd need. There's a woodburning stove for the evenings, a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. Sorry, no pets.
