Beech Hill
This is Beech Hill. It's in Kendal. A mid-terraced Victorian house. The location's good because you're up a hill. You get views over the town and out to the fells from the front.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. The view from the bathroom is quite something, you can see the fells from the bath.
There are two little terraces. One at the front for the view, one at the back which gets the sun. It's enclosed, private.
Kendal town centre is about a quarter of a mile walk. Shops, pubs, cafes. You can walk down. It's a bit of a climb back, but that's the trade-off for the view.
Windermere is about a 15-minute drive. Staveley is maybe 10 minutes. Kirkby Lonsdale about 20. Sedbergh, which is a book town, is around half an hour. Good for a wet day.
Facilities: it has a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
