Rock Cottage
Rock Cottage is on the village green in Crosthwaite. It's a mid terrace, on three floors. You've got two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so that's handy. It sleeps four. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not luxurious.
The stairs are steep. It's an old cottage, so that's how it is. There are low beams in a couple of places too. Mind your head.
There's a wood burning stove. The garden at the back is enclosed, with a patio and a BBQ. It's a quiet spot.
The village has a pub, about a ten minute walk. It's good, it does food. The nearest shop for a big shop is in Kendal, about five miles away.
You're right in the Lyth Valley. It's damson country. In spring the blossom is nice. For walks, you can just step out the door. The coast, Lake Windermere, and the fells are all about a 20 to 30 minute drive. Kendal is twenty minutes east, Bowness is twenty minutes north.
We accept up to two dogs. There's parking for one car.
