Rock Cottage
Rock Cottage is in Crosthwaite, on the village green. It's mid-terraced, so you've got neighbours either side, but it's a quiet spot. The garden out the back is yours, with a patio and a BBQ.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and two bathrooms which is handy. It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything works, it's clean and comfortable, but it's not a show home. It's a cottage. The beams are low in a couple of places, mind your head.
There's a wood burner in the living room. It's nice when it's cold. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. All bedding and towels are included.
You can bring dogs, up to two. The garden is enclosed.
The village has a good pub, about a ten minute walk. It does food. The nearest shop for a proper grocery run is in Kendal, about five miles.
You're right in the Lyth Valley. It's known for damsons. The blossom in spring is really something. For walking, you're surrounded by it. Bowness-on-Windermere is about five miles north if you want the lake, and Kendal is five miles east.
