Rustic Cottage is in Bowness, just behind the main street. It's a terraced house, one in a row of old cottages. You can walk down to the lake in about five minutes.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom with a shower downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not luxurious. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. The garden is small and enclosed, which is handy if you bring a dog.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking for one car right outside.
The cottage is about 200 yards from the shops and pubs in Bowness. It gets busy in summer, but it's very handy for everything. You can hire boats on the lake, or get a steamer from Bowness. For walks, you can start right from the door.
If you want to explore further, Brockhole, the National Park visitor centre, is a few minutes drive up the road. They've got gardens and activities. The main towns like Ambleside and Windermere are close. Grasmere and Keswick are within half an hour's drive for a day out.
Facilities are what you'd expect: TV, wifi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included.
