Rustic Cottage

Rustic Cottage is on the edge of Bowness, about a ten minute walk down to the lake shore. It's a terrace cottage, one of a short row. You've got your own enclosed garden out the back. It faces the street at the front.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. The main bedroom is a decent size, the second is smaller, fine for kids.

There's a pub and some shops about 200 yards away. The Beatrix Potter Attraction is in the village if that's your thing. For the lake, you can walk down and get on the steamer boats, or hire a rowing boat.

The cottage has a woodburning stove. There's an electric fire in the living room too for backup. Parking is on site, which is useful in Bowness. WiFi is included, and there's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are provided. You can bring up to two dogs.

It's a good base for walking straight from the door. For organised activities, the Brockhole Visitor Centre is a short drive away. The Aquarium of the Lakes is at Newby Bridge, about a fifteen minute drive.

If you want to explore further, Grasmere and Ambleside are within half an hour. For a bigger day out, Keswick or the far side of Ullswater are about forty five minutes by car.
