Corner Cottage
Corner Cottage is in Windermere. It's a detached house on the north edge of the village. The garden is enclosed, mostly lawn. You can see the fells from the upstairs windows.
It sleeps up to twelve people in four bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own shower room. One bedroom is a family room with a king bed and two singles. There's also a sofa bed in another room if you need it. There's a separate big bathroom with a standalone bath.
Downstairs is fairly open plan. A kitchen, a dining room, and a living room with a wood burner. There's a second small TV room and a conservatory. There's also a boot room for all your walking gear, and a utility room with a washing machine.
The house has a 4 Star rating. The stairs inside are a bit steep and narrow in places, just so you know.
We accept up to two pets.
There's a local shop, a pub, and restaurants about a five minute walk away. Windermere station is a mile, maybe a twenty minute walk. Lake Windermere itself is about half a mile.
Bowness-on-Windermere is down the road for boat trips. Ambleside is about ten minutes by car. Grasmere and Keswick are further north, maybe twenty and forty minutes drive respectively.
For things to do, the National Trust has a lot of places nearby, like Townend. There's also the Windermere Jetty Museum. The Lake District National Park site is good for walking routes.
Facilities included are what you'd expect for a group: bedding and towels, dishwasher, parking on site. There's a cot and highchair if needed.
