This is the Bowness Apartment in Bowness on Windermere. It's a proper town centre flat, so you're right in amongst it all.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It was all done up a few years ago, so it's in good order. It's got a 4 Star rating.

The main living area is open plan. There's a dishwasher, WiFi, and your parking space is right there. Bedding and towels are included.

You're a couple of minutes' walk from the lake shore. The Beatrix Potter attraction is just up the road. All the shops, cafes, and pubs in Bowness are on your doorstep. The nearest one is about a quarter of a mile.

You can get the steamer boats from Bowness across the lake to Ambleside or down to Lakeside. From Lakeside you can get the steam train to Haverthwaite.

For walking, you can start from the door. There's a pleasant stroll along the lake, or you can drive a short way for bigger hikes like the Kentmere valley. Many of the Wainwright fells are within a 30 minute drive.

Ambleside, Grasmere, and Coniston are all about a 15-20 minute drive away. Kendal and Ulverston are about half an hour.
