Holly Hideaway
Holly Hideaway is a one-bedroom cottage for two people, just outside Windermere town. It's modern, built in a sort of wooden lodge style. You're set back in the trees here, so it feels private.
It's all open plan, so the living area, kitchen, and dining space are one room. The kitchen is fine, it's got what you need. The bedroom is a good size with a king-size bed and its own shower room. The shower is a walk-in one.
You can walk into Windermere town in about twenty minutes, or to Bowness-on-Windermere in about thirty-five. Both have shops, cafes, and pubs. Bowness is where you get the boats from. The Windermere Lake Cruises leave from there.
If you drive, Ambleside is about ten minutes away. There's a lot of National Trust places around here, like Wray Castle or Fell Foot. The Lake District National Park site has walking routes and information.
The place has parking right outside. Wi-Fi is included, and the bedding and towels are there for you. You can bring up to two dogs.
