Swallows Nest
Swallows Nest is in Windermere. It's a terraced cottage, tucked away off the main street so it's quiet but you're only a minute's walk from the shops and pubs.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an ensuite to the main bedroom up in the loft. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well, it's comfortable.
The living area is open plan, so the kitchen, dining table and sofas are all in one room. It's a good space if you're all together.
Outside there's a terrace, it's enclosed. For parking, there's one space right by the cottage. There are a few more shared spaces up the cul-de-sac, but it's first come first served.
You can bring one dog. We include bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and a cot and highchair if you need them.
From here you can walk down to Bowness and the lake in about 15 minutes. Or you're right in the middle of the lakes for driving out. Ambleside and Grasmere are within a 20 minute drive. For a longer day, the western lakes like Coniston or up to Keswick are about half an hour.
